Airports in the Kingdom of Morocco record an increase in the number of passengers in the first semester of 2019

 

 Rabat - According to the National Airports Authority of the Kingdom of Morocco the number of passengers, crossing the various airports in the Kingdom recorded an increase of 11.42 per cent during the first six months of the current year. ONDA´s statement, to the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) added that 11,661,425 passengers crossed through the various Moroccan airports between January and June, compared to 10,466,000 passengers during the same period in 2018. Air passenger traffic registered its highest level last June, an increase of 26.54 percent over the same period last year.


The number of passengers crossing the various airports in the Kingdom during that period, according to the monthly report of ONDA, amounted to two million and 93 thousand and 323 passengers, an increase of 439000 passengers. As for aircrafts movements, ONDA pointed out that it reached during the month of June 17774 movements, recording an increase of 19.90 per cent compared to the same period of 2018. In the same period, commercial aircraft traffic increased by 3.7 percent compared to June of last year, after registering 18051 movement. Freight traffic also recorded an increase of 3.99 per cent, with 7411.98 tons compared to 7127.33 tons compared to the same period in 2018.
