The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques provides financial support to ICAO

 

Riyadh - SPA : In continuation of the Kingdom´s efforts in supporting international organizations ,bodies and the keenness of the wise leadership to participate in an important role in the most important international and regional organizations .

 

the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has provided financial support to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Behind the knees) ,which aims to assist developing countries in the application of recommended standards and recommended methods for the safety and security of civil aviation, as well as contribute to the costs required for the translation of documents and outputs of the Organization of Arabic language.

 

The President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdul Hadi bin Ahmed Al Mansouri, expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his unlimited support to the aviation sector locally, regionally and globally. This contributes to the development of the aviation industry in the world. Therefore, to improve the safety and security of civil aviation in developing countries and least developed countries and island States.

 

He stated: This support is a renewal of the Kingdom´s previous support to ICAO in 2016 and has achieved significant positive results that have contributed to the enhancement of the safety and security of civil aviation in the Middle East and Africa, as well as efforts to develop human resources operating in the civil aviation sector.

 

at the same level, the President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Dr. Olomoya Pinard Alio, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for renewing his support for the second time, confirming that this support from the Government of the Kingdom is an extension of its continued support to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

 

he stated: I would like to assert ICAO´s gratitude to Saudi Arabia for helping us establish a solid base and support to take these initiatives that will help developing countries, least developed countries and island nations in aviation safety and civil aviation security,"

 

it is indicated that, The program which was renewed by Saudi Arabia for the second time with US $ 1 million, is the "No Country Left Behind" program, presented by ICAO to assist States not in a position to implement the standards and recommended methods for the safety and security of civil aviation, as well as contributing to the costs of translating FAO documents and outputs for Arabic language.

 

It should be indicated as well that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) aims to develop the technical principles and rules on international air navigation, support the planning and development of international air transport to ensure the sound and orderly development of international civil aviation, And promote the progress of air routes, airports and air navigation facilities for international civil aviation, as ICAO is a global intergovernmental organization established under the United Nations Convention on International Civil Aviation in Chicago.
