The Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) conducted virtually the first meeting of the training centres network team on June 22, 2023 from 08:00 to 09:00 UTC. This meeting was attended by 15 participants from 7 Arab countries.

The opening was held with a speech presented by the Director-General of the ACAO, in which he mentioned the critical importance of the training as one of the main challenges for the development of the civil aviation system.

The objective of the meeting was for preparation of the upcoming Constituent Assembly for the establishment of a network of civil aviation training centres/units/academies certified under the relevant authorities of the Arab Countries. In the framework of the ACAO Strategy, which put the training and consultancy at the top of its strategic objectives, ACAO is paving the way for the establishment of this aviation training centres network considering the important role it might play in the development of the Civil aviation system within the Arabic region.

The meeting concluded to the latest version of the Statute of this network to be presented to the Constituent assembly. In addition, the participants convened that the assembly will take place on the First Quarter of 2024 in the sideline of the Arab aviation day. These conclusions will be presented to the next ACAO Executive Council.
