The ACAO 48th Air navigation Committee Hybrid meeting ANC/48 has been held during the period 215 and 16 March 2023, 08:30 to 11:30. H.E. Mr. Manar Abdennebi DG of the ACAO opened the meeting welcoming the participants. The meeting has been chaired by Mr. Tayseer Abdelkarim representative of the State of Egypt, while its secretariat was ensured by Hicham Bennani Air navigation Expert within the ACAO.  

The meeting was attended by a total of 30 participants from 8 States (7 Members and 1 observer) and 2 Organisations.

In addition to the review of the list of actions and decisions taken as result of the previous session, the meeting adopted a series of recommendations regarding the implementation of the GNSS (considering the outcomes of the ACAO GNSS SG/2 meeting which is working on the edition of the new version of the ACA GNSS Strategy and roadmap, considering all opportunities for implementation of the SBAs as well as the GBAS), the ATFM (which convene on the main orientation for the ACAO ATFM strategy considering the Middle east multi-nodal concept and South Mediterranean ATFM solution, the meeting was also appraised with the experience from the implementation of the comprehensive agreement between the Moroccan ANSP in the Eurocontrol) and recent development of the Over Flight Permit.

The participants discussed the frequency management challenges and ACAO support on the update of the associated FF tool, the 5G potential risk on aviation in the region.
