In the framework of the Cooperation program with its Member States, ACAO conducted a support mission towards the SSP implementation within the sates of Mauritania, in Nouakchott, 20-24 February 2023.

The mission provided information and knowledge in term of SSP implementation. The support included the establishment of an SSP team, a workshop for the update of the SSP GAP Analysis and the associated action plan. The mission was a good opportunity to provide recommendations to the Mauritanian ANAC (Agence Nationale de l’Aviation Civile) regarding the smooth and progressive implementation of the SSP and some best practices regarding the effectiveness of the SMS oversight.  

9 participants from the Mauritanian CAA ANAC took part to the mission support. They were belonging to the 6 technical Areas (PEL, OPS, AIR, AGA, ANS & AIG).

The mission ended by a presentation made for the DG of the ANAC which summarizes the outcomes of the mission and the actions to be taken for the next step.
