In the framework of the Cooperation program, ACAO & ICAO organised jointly the “OLDI/AIDC WS” in-person Workshop, in Cairo, Egypt 14 – 16 February 2023.

The Workshop provided information on AIDC/OLDI Operational and technical requirements and reviewed the MID Region Strategy for AIDC/OLDI Implementation as well as the status of the AIDC/OLDI of the additional ACAO Member states (no accredited to ICAO MID office). The event has been an opportunity to share experience gained and lessons learnt and support States in fostering the implementation of ASBU priority 1 FICE Element.

The course targeted audience as States officials involved in OLDI/AIDC implementation based on the relevant regional air navigation plan (mainly the MID, but also EUR & AFI ones).

40 participants attended the WS from 10 ACAO/ICAO member States and 5 organisations ACAO, Eurocontrol, IATA and ICAO.

As WS outcomes, the states updated the priorities table regarding the OLDI/AIDC connection between adjacent ATSUs and identified the actions to be taken to increase the implementation rate in term of ASBU element FICE.  The complete outcomes and associated SoD are available on the ACAO dedicated web page.
