in the framework of their cooperation within capacity building project, ACAO, and UAE GCAA organised jointly the “Regulating the Transport of Dangerous Goods (DG) by Air in United Arab Emirates webinar” (Virtual), 23 June 2022 from 09h30 to 12h00 UTC.

The objective of the Webinar was to provide participants with an overview and update on Dangerous Good including the ICAO provisions on the subject. The webinar comprised two parts the fist dedicated to the rule making for DG and associated GCAA approach to restructure its regulation on DG, while the second part was focusing on the implementation of the Competency Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) applied to Dangerous Good domain.

The Webinar targeted large audience from operation staff specialised in DG from both regulators and aviation industries. 

About 30 participants attended the webinar provided by Mr. Ahmed Wagih Senior Specialist Dangerous Goods within GCAA and was facilitated by ACAO and officers.
