Within the framework of continuous coordination and cooperation between the General Administration of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization and similar international and regional organizations in order to enhance bilateral and regional cooperation in areas of common interest and in particular, define joint programs and priorities, enhance safety, absorptive capacity, air navigation efficiency, security, protect the aviation environment, avoid duplication and unify efforts in the region, his Excellency Eng. Abdennebi Manar, Director General of the Organization, held a meeting with His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Abubaker Farea, Regional Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization - Middle East Regional Office in Cairo - on Tuesday, February 08, 2022, during which a summary of the joint work plan between the Organization and the Cairo Regional Office was presented. The objectives, priorities and areas of cooperation for the coming years were also discussed, in order to prepare the joint program for regional activities in the various fields of civil aviation.

During this meeting, His Excellency Eng. Manar extended his warm congratulations to His Excellency Eng. Farea on his appointment by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to assume the position of Regional Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization for the Middle East.

It is worth noting that the Regional Office for the Middle East covers, according to ICAO's geographical distribution, 15 countries of the region, and coordinates with them to develop the aviation security and safety system in the region, in accordance with the strategic objectives and standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
