The ACAO conducted an on-line Training Workshop on “Airport Certification) the 25-28 October 2021, 08:00 – 11:30 UTC. About 100 participants attend the event from 9 States merging expertise from both CAAs and Airport operators. The course has been provided by Mr. George Reyes Head of Airport Operations and Rulemaking Dep at AESA (Spain CAA) and facilitated by Mr. Hicham Bennani Safety & Air Navigation expert at ACAO. The WS encompasses Theoretical modules and practical exercises conducted in 6 segregated groups using the breakout rooms tools.

The online WS has been opened by HE Eng. Abdenebi Manar DG of ACAO welcoming the attendees and highlighting the objectives of such WS, which was mainly to provide Civil Aviation Authorities and airport operators with the knowledge and skills required to practically apply and maintain the aerodrome certificate as well as to give an in-depth look at the challenges and best practices related to airport certification.

At the end of the course, an online test has been conducted for the benefit The participants. Accordingly, those who passed successfully the test would receive a certificate of completion.
