The ACAO 46th Safety Committee meeting ASC/46 has been held during the period 26 to 28 April 2021 08:30 to 10:30 via videoconference. The meeting has been chaired by Mr. Hedi Charfadi representative of Tunisia, while its secretariat ensured by Hicham Bennani Safety Expert within the ACAO.

The meeting was attended by a total of 28 participants from 15 States (7 Members and 8 Observers) and 3 Organisations.

Mr. Manar Abdenebi DG of the ACAO opened the meeting welcoming the participants and reviewed practical arrangements for the meeting. In his elocution the Director General also stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation between regional and international organizations, especially with regard to considering a series of measures and recovery plans that would support the sector’s sustainable development and stimulate the rapid growth of other economic sectors. He also reminds the attendees on the international symposium "Achievements and Challenges" organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, which was held on line the February 7, 2021.

In addition to the review of the list of actions and decisions taken as result of the previous session, the meeting adopted a series of recommendations regarding the latest development on the Covid 19 recovery / restart measures as well as implementation of the RSOO, ARCM and Action plan aiming supporting the Members States who request it.
