On Wednesday 20-01-2021, the Director General of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization, Prof. Mohamed Ould Omar, and His Excellency the Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, Engineer Abdenbi Manar, signed a memorandum of understanding which represents the culmination and strengthening of a cooperative process taking place between the two organizations, which embodies the convergence of wills for the exchange of experiences in the field of scientific and technical research, environmental and cultural tourism studies, and the promotion of Arab and Islamic heritage.
In his speech, the Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, Eng. Abdenbi Manar, affirmed that cooperation with ALECSO in these promising areas will have multiple advantages, all of which are aimed at promoting joint Arab action and its continuous advancement on the one hand, as well as strengthening cooperation with United Nations affiliated organizations,, on the other hand, in harmony with the orientations and objectives of the League of Arab States.
Prof. Mohamed Ould Omar, Director General of ALECSO, expressed in his statement his satisfaction on the occasion of the signature of this agreement between ALESCO and its sister Arab Civil Aviation Organization, which is an opportunity that will enhance the march of joint Arab action and open wider horizons for the two organizations for further consultation, whilst aspiring that it will be the first step towards the implementation of an executive program to be achieved in the future.
Among the areas of cooperation provided for in this memorandum is the exchange of information, documents and experiences related to topics of common interest as well as expanding the exchange of knowledge in the fields of scientific and technical research; and the implementing of future projects and activities of mutual benefit, and cooperating in the fields of activities in support of the advancement of the Arabic language, by coordinating Arab and international efforts and initiatives to achieve this goal.
