Within the framework of continuous coordination and cooperation with similar international and regional organizations, the Arab Civil Aviation Organization participated in the ninth meeting of the Middle East Meteorological Working Group (MET SG / 9). The meeting was held via telecommunication technology, on the 7th, 8th and 9th December 2020.

During this meeting, participants ensured the follow up of the recommendations and decisions emanating from the seventeenth meeting of the regional group for planning and implementation of air navigation and the seventh meeting of ICAO MID safety regional group related to the meteorological program. They also discussed the most important global and regional developments related to it and meteorological planning and implementation issues were examined, whilst reviewing the implementation of WAFS and SADIS, OPMET data requirements and their implementation status including a presentation of the shortcomings of air navigation in the meteorological field and the future work program of the team.

Fifty-one (51) participants from (14) countries and four (04) international organizations / manufacturers attended this meeting.
