Seventh Meeting of the MIDANPIRG AIM Sub-Group (AIM SG/7) (Virtual Meeting, 21 - 22 October 2020)

The Arab Civil Aviation Organization, represented by Eng. Mohamed REJEB, Air Navigation and Air Safety Expert, attended Virtual Seventh Meeting of the MIDANPIRG AIM Sub-Group (AIM SG/7) held on 21-22 October 2020.


The meeting was attended by fifty-eight (58) participants from fourteen (14) countries (the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the State of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of the State of Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Lebanese Republic, the Republic of Egypt. Arab Republic of Yemen, Syria, Iran and the United States) and representatives of five (05) international organizations (AACO, ACAO, IFALPA, ICAO, IATA).


The AIM SG is mainly mandated to ensure that the implementation of AIM in the MID Region is coherent and compatible with developments in adjacent regions, and is in line with the Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP), the Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU) framework methodology and the MID Region Air Navigation Strategy;During this meeting, the main following points were discussed:

  •  Follow-up on MIDANPIRG/17 and MSG/7 conclusion and decision related to AIM 
  •  Global and Regional Developments related to AIM
  •  Revised MID Air Navigation Strategy/ 1 -DAIM (GANP 6th edition) Draft Mid Region DAIM threads Block 1 Prioritization and Monitoring
  •  MID DAIM Potential Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  •  AIM SG Terms of References (ToRs)
