Rabat - On 26 to 27 October 2020, the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, in partnership with "Performance Qualité", a consultancy office specialized in quality standards, organized a training course via telecommunication using the "Zoom" facility on the ISO 45001 quality standard related to the occupational safety and health system.

Forty-Two participants representing aviation authorities, airlines, and airports in the Arab countries that are members of the organization as well as representatives of the African Civil Aviation Commission benefited from this training session.

During this session, principles for preparing a framework for managing all health and safety needs of organizations were reviewed. Basic requirements necessary to include procedures and controls within the organization and to achieve the best possible working conditions were also explained to participants, including how to implement and review occupational health and safety policies for employees within the organization in line with international best practices. This session is part of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization´s efforts to contribute to raising awareness on measures and requirements related to public health in light of the developments related to the new Corona virus pandemic (COVID 19).
