43rd Meeting of the Aviation Safety Committee, Rabat - Kingdom of Morocco 5 and 6 September 2019 The Arab Civil Aviation Organization

The Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) organized the 43rd meeting of the Aviation Safety Committee in Rabat on 5 and 6 September 2019. The meeting was attended by five countries representing Tunisia, Palestine, Libya, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.

 

On behalf of His Excellency Eng. Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, Eng. Hadi Al-Sharafadi, chairperson of the committee and Air Traffic central director, representative of the Republic of Tunisia, opened the meeting. He welcomed the participants. Engineer / Mohamed Rajeb, the Arab Civil Aviation Organization air navigation and safety expert speech, followed it. Both stressed the importance of the meeting in the context of the development of the organization´s technical work in the field of safety, of which the Committee on Aviation Safety is one of its main arms, recalling the importance of the topics on the agenda and wishing success and success to the organization and its members.

 

The meeting dealt with several topics of importance in the field of aviation safety in the Arab region. One of the most important being the follow up to the recommendations of the 42th session of the committee and the 61th session of the executive council, an update on the Regional Organization for Safety Oversight of the Middle East and North Africa, examine the different regional cooperation initiatives related to the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents, as well as cooperation in the field of training for the Arab Civil Aviation Organization´s program in the field of aviation safety for 2019-2020.
