The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) concluded its 104th regular session at the ministerial level, chaired by the State of Palestine, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit. The General Directorate of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization participated with a delegation headed by Eng. Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the Organization.

According to the agenda of the 104th session of the Economic and Social Council, the topics discussed mark an Arab dynamic in the joint Arab action, especially with regard to the social and economic sectors. The session discussed the item of the draft Arab Strategy for the Economic and Social Empowerment of Women, and another on the establishment of the Arab Center for Economic Empowerment Studies. They also discussed topics related to the Great Arab Free Trade Area, the developments of the Arab Customs Union as well as the investment in Arab countries item.

The reports and decisions of the ministerial councils and committees were approved, in particular the report and recommendations of the 28th session of the Organizing Committee for Coordination and Follow-up (General Secretariat 07-11 / 07/2019), as well as the report and decisions of the 48th Ordinary Session of the Higher Coordinating Committee of the Joint Arab Headquarters headed by His Excellency the Secretary General (Beirut 19- 20/06/2019) where the topics submitted by the General Directorate of the Organization were approved, i.e. The Arab Civil Aviation Prize, the Arab Civil Aviation Week and the celebration of the Arab Aviation Day. The establishment of a group on social media applications related to facilitating communication between the officials of communication, media and public relations in the institutions of Arab joint work and the General Secretariat of the League to exchange and disseminate news and promote activities in Arab and international platforms was also acknowledged.
