The training course on the basics of civil aviation security organized by the Arab Civil Aviation Organization at the Training Center of the Tunisian Airlines in Tunis was concluded on 13-22 June 2019.

The course lasted 10 days and benefited 24 participants from various structures involved in the civil aviation security system of three member countries: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Tunisia.

The course reviewed the basics of civil aviation security in accordance with the standards and recommendations of ICAO Annex 17, and in particular, the procedures and preventive measures of the aviation industry against acts of unlawful interference such as access control inspection and security inspection, Airports. The course also tackled the emerging threats to aviation security, prevention and response at the international, regional and national levels.

This session falls within the framework of the agreement signed between the Arab Civil Aviation Organization and the Tunisair Airline through the General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Tunis with the aim of upgrading the civil aviation security system.
