The Arab Civil Aviation Organization participated in the 5th meeting of the SG / 05 CASE PROJECT Steering Committee held in Brussels-Belgium on 13 June 2019.

Mr. Olivier Luyckx DG DEVCO and Ms. Patricia Riverdi, Acting Executive Secretary of the European Civil Aviation Conference and Case Manager chaired the meeting.

Alongside some African and European representatives, representatives of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Tunisia, as well as a representative of the International Civil Aviation Organization, the African Civil Aviation Commission, the Airports Council International and the International Air Transport Association participated in this meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to present the previous and planned activities provided by CASE and to discuss collectively the best ways to further pursue the implementation of the CASE project.

In addition, the CASE team provided the latest additions to its range of activities, the extension of some national activities and the recruitment of regional experts under the project activities.

A workshop on the second phase of the CASE project was held on 14 June 2019 in Brussels. Participants at the fifth meeting of the CASE Steering Committee have carried out panel discussions on how best to further develop and implement phase II of this project (CASE 2) which the European Commission has approved funding (CASE 2 ).
