Rabat, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary General Assembly held on 2 and 3 May 2019 in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on behalf of Eng. Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, ACAO´s safety and air navigation expert and the aviation security and environment expert held a meeting with Ahmed Abdel Ali , the representative of the Minister of Transport of Djibouti, where the representatives of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization stressed the importance of the participation of the Republic of Djibouti in various activities of the Organization, including meetings of technical committees and workshops and seminars and training courses to promote the civil aviation sector and raise the level of workers in the sector in the Republic of Djibouti.

The representative of the minister of transport praised the efforts made by the General Directorate of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization to communicate with the member states of the Organization in terms of raising the level of safety in the Arab region, especially for countries in need of assistance and support.

The two sides discussed ways of cooperation and readiness of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization to provide all assistance and support to the Republic of Djibouti in various fields of civil aviation (navigation, safety, aviation security, environment and air transport).

The representative of the Republic of Djibouti made a formal request to the Organization, including areas of cooperation, and invited the Organization to provide assistance and support.
