The Director General receives the Head of the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority

Rabat - Eng. Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, received at the headquarters of the Organization in Rabat, HE Ali Khalil Ibrahim, President of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Iraq, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary General Assembly of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, held on 2 and 3 May in the Moroccan capital.


The two sides discussed ways of cooperation and readiness of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization to provide all assistance and support to the Republic of Iraq in various fields of civil aviation (navigation, safety, aviation security, environment and air transport).


For his part, the Director General stressed the importance of the participation of the Republic of Iraq in various activities of the Organization, including meetings of technical committees, workshops, seminars and training courses to promote the civil aviation sector and raise the level of workers in the sector in the Republic of Iraq.


On the other hand, the Iraqi delegation praised the efforts made by the General Directorate of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization to outreach with the international and regional organizations and the member states of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization regarding the implementation of the Global Air Navigation Plan and the Global Plan for Aviation Safety and raising the level of safety in the Arab region especially for countries in need of assistance and support.


Mr. Mohammed Rejeb and Adil Bouloutar, respectively Air Navigation and Safety expert, and Aviation Security and Environment expert, and from the Iraqi side, Dr. Mohammed Jawdat Amer, Director of Air Transport attended the meeting.
