The Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO) 42^th Air Safety Committee meeting (ACAO 42^th ASC/42) was successfully held on 14 and 15 March 2019 in Casablanca - Morocco, in the presence of six Member States representing the People´s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Republic of Tunisia, the State of Palestine, the State of Libya, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and One International Organization (ICAO).

The meeting was opened by HE Eng. Abdenebi Manar, General Director of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization. He welcomed the members of the Committee, stressing the importance of the meeting in the context of the development of technical work in the field of aviation safety. Recalling the most important future challenges, the vision and the objectives of the Organization for the next two years, and wishing all the success to the meeting.

The meeting tackled several topics in the field of Aviation Safety in the ACAO Region most notably the follow-up to the recommendations of the 41^st session of the Aviation Safety Committee, the training program of the ACAO in the field of aviation safety for the next two years 2019 and 2020 and the first technical meeting of Middle East and North Africa Regional Safety Oversight Organization.
