Rabat - The Environment Committee held its fifth meeting at the headquarters of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization in Rabat, from 13 to 15 November.

Participants deliberated over three days on topics of importance in the field of environment within the Arab system, such as the Organization´s Operational Plans for the Environment for the period 2019-20éà, particularly the work of the Environment Committee, and reviewed some  discussions and views on related issues.

Mr. Mohammed Abdulla Al-Salma of Saudi Arabia was elected as Chairman of the Environment Committee and Mr. Ahmed Abdulla Mohammed Ali of Qatar as his deputy.

Six member countries representing the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Kingdom of Morocco participated in the meeting, which comes in the context of developing the technical work in the field of environment in the Arab countries.
