Mr. Abdel-Nabi Manar, Director-General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, and Mr. Abdel Wahab Tafaha, Secretary-General of the Arab Air Transport Association, met on Tuesday 16 October 2018, with the Director General of Transport and Mobility of the European Commission at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

The meeting focused on supporting air transport relations between the Arab countries and the European Union, including cooperation in the fields of security, safety and air traffic flows.

The meeting concluded with the signing of a letter of intent between the European Commission and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, which will include the issues to be agreed upon between the Commission and the Organization, as well as the convening of an Arab-European aviation summit in 2020
