Launch of a workshop on Cargo and airmail security in Tunis

Aimed at providing participants with the basic knowledge to oversee and implement the procedures and measures adopted for Cargo and air mail security


Tunisia - A joint workshop with the European Civil Aviation Commission on "Cargo Security and Airmail" was inaugurated Wednesday in the Republic of Tunisia in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Tunisia and the Civil Aviation and Airports Office, in order to strengthen and reinforce
cooperation and coordination with regional and international organizations and bodies.

This workshop is expected to provide participants with the basic knowledge to supervise and implement measures and procedures adopted regarding cargo and air mail security, stressing the importance of security measures and crisis management plans in this perspective.
Eng. Abdenbi Manar, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), in an opening address, delivered on his behalf by Mr. Faisal Bin Sulaiman, adopted Security Council Resolution 2309, which recognized that terrorist threats to civil aviation globally constitute a threat to peace And urged States to cooperate, coordinate and exchange information to address the terrorist threats to civil aviation
He stressed that the organization of this workshop in the light of the latest developments in civil aviation security is an opportunity to initiate a dialogue between the participants and build bridges of communication between them, in order to open new horizons for exchanging views and joining forces to enhance the efficiency of aviation security within the framework of the global aviation security plan.
