The General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Civil Aviation Organization and the ICAO Regional Office in the Middle East organized a regional symposium on "Best Practices in the Field of Air Supply Security", in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, during the period from 19 to 21 March 2023.

This symposium saw the participation of 75 civil aviation security officials representing 7 member states of the organization.

The symposium aimed at exchanging experiences and best practices related to air supply security, presenting security technologies and innovations related to security detection and inspection methods, and exchanging relevant information and experiences.

During this symposium, the representatives of the participating countries made presentations on their experience in risk management, quality control, training and other topics related to air catering.

This workshop falls within the framework of contributing to the wide-ranging efforts and measures undertaken by the International Civil Aviation Organization and its Member States in implementing the objectives contained in the Global Civil Aviation Security Plan.
